School Day
Arrivals and Dismissals
The school day officially begins at 9:25 a.m. and concludes at 3:15 p.m.
ARRIVAL PROCEDURES
During morning arrival, parents are not permitted to exit their cars. It is expected that all cars follow the traffic flow patterns at each respective building. There will be no parking on school grounds.
Arrival at the Primary Building
- If you are dropping off a student at the primary building, please follow these procedures:
- These students must enter the building via the main entrance.
- There is a single lane only, for student drop off. In the single lane, cars must pull up all the way past the crosswalk.
- Students must exit out of the right-hand side of the car onto the sidewalk and will be directed to the main entrance.
- As soon as the car in front of you begins to exit, please follow immediately.
Arrival at the Intermediate Building
All 2nd, 3rd and 4th grade students who are driven to school must be dropped off at the designated turn-around at the north side of the school grounds. A faculty/staff member will take the student’s temperature while still in the car. Students must exit out of the right-hand side of the car onto the sidewalk and will be directed to go to their designated grade entrance. Please follow the entrance and turn-around arrows near the north parking lot.
DISMISSAL PROCEDURES
Dismissal will take place at 3:25 p.m. for all students.
Parents who would like to have their child picked up regularly must complete the attached form. Everyday pick-ups (hereafter referred to as “Everyday Walkers”) will be dismissed daily, unless parents notifies the school as to exceptions. Following an initial signature verification, these parents will not need to sign their children out. They will wait outside by the light post marked “Pride Zone” for the children to be dismissed. All other students will be placed on their assigned buses.
Parents who wish to pick up their child, but not as an “Everyday Walker”, must sign their child out. Please park outside the gates and walk to the respective building (Primary: Door P-2 Room 110) (Intermediate: Outside Multipurpose Room- Side Door I-11.) Each area is indicated on the following map with a smiley face. Each sidewalk will be identified with social distancing markers.
For early dismissal, parents are requested to pick up children by 3:00 p.m.; any other dismissals will need to wait until 3:25 p.m.
There will be no movement of cars in the bus parking lot until after all students are dismissed from the building.
